Capcom announced today that the original Devil May Cry on PlayStation 2 will be coming to Switch this summer.
Devil May Cry first launched for PlayStation 2 back in August 2001 and later received a HD Collection featuring Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2012. It was then later ported on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in March 2018. And now, a Switch version is coming.
There is currently no plans however to bring Devil May Cry 2 and Devil May Cry 3 for the Switch.

Here’s a quick overview of Devil May Cry:
Devil May Cry: The first appearance of Dante, the ultimate devil hunter! With the blood of a legendary demon warrior flowing through his veins, Dante takes on the king of the underworld, Mundus.
– Play out the destiny of Dante, a private investigator of the supernatural who has the power of ancient demons within his blood
– A terrifying Gothic thriller from the creators of Resident Evil 2
– Features eye-popping graphics and bone-chilling special effects
– Battle a host of monsters and build up your power to transform into a demon state
If Capcom is releasing the first Devil May Cry, they should release the second and third game as well. We’ll have to see in the near future. For now, fans of the series can now purchase Devil May Cry 5 on PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC.
No further information was released. As soon as Capcom posts more information, we’ll report it. Stay tuned.
