As we are nearing the release of the much awaited Kingdom Hearts 3, Square Enix released today a detailed release schedule of the updates they will roll out when it it launches in a couple of weeks.
Immediately when the game launches on January 29, Square Enix will be rolling out a day one update where it will add “The Memory Archive” option that allow players to view the events that took place prior to the start Kingdom Hearts 3.
Below is the complete schedule:
North America and Europe
January 29
- Version 1.01 update (several data fixes)
- Memory Archive* (videos) – The Memory Archive option will be added to the game’s title menu and can be viewed at any time. The Memory Archive is a digest of the Kingdom Hearts story in the series up to this point.
January 30
- Epilogue* (video) – Video content that will enhance player’s enjoyment of the world of Kingdom Hearts. Players will need to have completed Kingdom Hearts III and seen the ending to view this video.
January 31
- Secret* (video) – Video content that will enhance player’s enjoyment of the world of Kingdom Harts. Players will need to have completed Kingdom Hearts III and seen the ending, as well as fulfilled certain criteria during play to view this video. The criteria vary depending on the difficulty level selected.
Japan
January 25 at 0:00 JST

*These pieces of downloadable content are additional elements for Kingdom Hearts III.
