Ubisoft has now announced that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has gone gold. Going gold basically means development for the game has finished meaning there won’t be any release date delays or anything like that.
Ubisoft announced the good news over on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter page. You can read their full announcement posted down below.
“#AssassinsCreedOdyssey has gone gold!! We hope you’ll be enjoying playing the game as much as we did developing it and can’t wait to see which paths you’ll choose. Your Odyssey starts on October 5.
Below is a small synopsis for the new game. The information taken here is from the official press release Ubisoft issued out several months ago.
“Assassin’s Creed® Odyssey is an ambitious role-playing game that places choice at the center of the experience. The action takes place in Ancient Greece, a world rich with myths and legend, in fifth century BC during the Peloponnesian War between Sparta and Athens. Embodying Alexios or Kassandra, a mercenary of Spartan blood sentenced to death by their family, players will embark on an epic journey from a young outcast to a legendary hero and uncover the truth about their mysterious first civilization lineage.”
It has also been revealed a few days ago that the Season Pass of the game will include remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed Liberations. Details from the press release have been posted below.
“The Remastered editions will feature 4K and HDR on PS4™ Pro, Xbox One X and PC, higher resolution textures, a new graphics engine, and several other graphical enhancements. Gameplay mechanics and ergonomics have also been improved. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be sold as a stand-alone title for players who do not own the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass.
The Season Pass is included in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gold, Ultimate, Spartan and Pantheon Editions, and is also available for purchase separately“.
