It has been a while since PlayStation Plus has had an exceptional month. For some it might just be a couple months, where as others are in the year(s) range, but September 2018 really stands out.
Easily the biggest highlight is the addition of Destiny 2. Even though reviews and opinions of the title have been divisive, it has certainly improved and there is enough time to accomplish some of the end of the year activities to earn some cool loot before getting into Forsaken, which releases next week. Best of all, Destiny 2 is actually currently listed as free, so anyone interested in getting it and do so right now.
Joining Destiny 2 is the remaster of God of War III. Players expected this to happen as a way to market God of War before release, though it works just as well as that and an introduction to the story that happened before. Remember that this is the conclusion, so expect a lot of callbacks and references to things Kratos did in the past, but still a fantastic way to get into the original trilogy.
This month also includes a lot of cross-buy titles. Those interested can find the full list below but both the PlayStation 3 and Vita have three thanks to that and PlayStation 4 has an impressive six total games.
Finally, don’t forget that Sony is still currently offering the two bonus games too. These include Here They Lie, a suspenseful PlayStation VR title that gives a dark look to an intriguing city; and Knowledge is Power, the new Play Link trivia game that wasn’t perfect but certainly worth checking out for free.
