With Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age releasing in North America in about four weeks for PS4 and PC via Steam, Switch owners are still saddened to the fact that the Switch announcement still doesn’t have a confirmation whether or not it will be released on the platform.
In the recent live stream of NicoNico, Hori released a statement that the development for the Switch version of the game is “progressing smoothly”.
Hori also stated, “I have a feeling we’ll have a variety of announcements around TGS, but just how much will we say…” giving hints that there might be an announcement soon regarding the much awaited Switch version of Dragon Quest XI in the upcoming Tokyo Game Show starting on September 20.
In addition, Dragon Quest XI director Takeshi Uchikawa also stated, “I have a feeling we will be able to announce something soon,” giving more weight that there’s really a Switch version coming.
For those excited for the PS4 and PC version, Square Enix just announced that those who will purchase Dragon Quest XI will be getting the free Dragon Quest VIII costume (Turban and Armor) right off the bat when they start the game. The attire from Dragon Quest VIII will be sitting right in your inventory at the beginning of the game. While many may find it weak and useless at the start, both the armor and turban can be refined later for better stats. More information on how this will be revealed soon as the embargo lifts on August 28 as we will have our guide
