The Resident Evil 2 Remake was revealed at E3 2018 and it got everyone excited. Due to the success of the Resident Evil franchise on Nintendo platforms, some people were hoping to see a Switch port sometime in the future too.
Well GamingBolt had a chance to speak with Mike Lunn who is Capcom’s Brand Manager. Sadly, it sounds like there will not be a Switch port of Resident Evil 2 Remake.
He said the following about a Switch port: “No, not at this time. We just wanted to focus on PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the moment“.
The Remake has been built from the ground up and looks far better than the original game that came out on the PSOne over 20 years ago. It sounds like the Switch may not be able to handle the new game engine which is why it’s only coming out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game will be out on January 25th, 2019.
