Konami may have lost the UEFA Champions League and some other licenses to EA’s FIFA 19 this year, but some new partnerships will still be a big part of PES 2019. If you love German football, you’ll be happy to know a new partnership has been put in place.
The official Pro Evolution Soccer Twitter page made the following big announcement: “We’re delighted and proud to announce a new partnership with @s04/@s04_en for #PES2019. Welcome to the #PESfamily! #S04. The partnership means #PES2019 will include #S04’s official kits and their amazing home stadium VELTINS-Arena.”
That’s not the only team Konami has acquired because it was reported last month that PES 2019 also has the Danish Superligaen, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, the Swiss Raiffeisen Super League, the Scottish Premiership, the Primera División Argentina and the Russian Premier League. The latter is actually exclusive to PES so you won’t be seeing it in FIFA 19.
It remains to be seen if Konami will ever get the UEFA license back, but for now EA Sports has snapped it up for the foreseeable future. PES 2019 releases in North America first on August 28th, 2018 and then releases in Europe on August 30th, 2018. The game will be available for you to purchase on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
