Famed gaming analyst Michael Pachter has made a prediction as to when the PlayStation 5 might come out from Sony. Unlike initial rumored reports, he does not feel that the new console will be released in 2019 as he feels the console will be out a year later than that.
As reported by WCCFTech, Pachter says it’s very unlikely the PS5 will be out in 2018 as it’s way too early. After all, the Sony PlayStation 4 is still selling quite well and we already got the PS4 Pro back in 2016. It’s just too soon in 2018 for Sony to market an even newer console out in the market.
Pachter told the website that there is a 25% chance that the console could be out in 2019. If it comes out in 2019, it will be out six months after the release of the original PS4 console which came out back in November 2013.
However, Pachter says that it’s more than likely 2020 will be the year that the PS5 comes. He predicts that there is a 75% likelihood of the new console being out in 2020 which is seven years after the release of the vanilla PS4 console.
