It looks like the Spyro Remastered Trilogy is true after all because the game was leaked via a listing that appeared on Amazon Mexico. The collection is being called the “Spyro Reignited Trilogy” and it will be released sometime later this year.
The listing says the game will be released on PS4 on September 21st, 2018. No other platforms have been listed at this time, but it’s possible it could be a timed exclusive for PS4 before it gets released on other platforms at a later date.
GeekCulturePodcast even managed to post boxart which was previously put up on Amazon, but was taken down. There’s no doubt the leak is real mainly because Activision has been teasing its announcement for the past few days now.
The Amazon listing also posted some more official details about the game. You can read the description down below.
- All 3 original Spyro games fully remastered in HD
- Includes Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon
- 100+ levels, remastered with breathtaking graphical updates and improved gameplay controls
The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is expected to cost around $40 USD so it should be much cheaper than the average $60 price of a new release game. More official details about the game should be coming very soon.
