Insomniac Games is hard at work on the new Spider-Man PS4 video game that will be out this September. A new interview with Game Informer has now given us a few new details about the highly anticipated superhero video game.
The game’s creative director, Bryan Intihar, was interviewed by Game Informer and he shared some small new info about Spider-Man PS4. Website GearNuke summarized some of the best parts of the interview.
Some of the things we find out from the interview is that players will be able to change the weather and the time of day. However, this feature will only be available until after you finish the main game.
He said: “For us we thought that, well I mean the truth is, this is a very story heavy game and as you guys know a lot of great games use time of day whether to communicate a certain feel vibe to the situation where you are in the story so we want to make sure that we were communicating a certain feeling to the player while they were first making their way through the main story. That being said when you do finish the game you can actually change time of day and weather yourself manually.”
Another thing he mentioned is that there is no fall damage so Spider-Man can drop high from a building and he won’t die thanks to his spider powers. Insomniac also did not deny that a black suit will be available for Spider-Man in the game.
Speaking of the suit, suit damage is visible in the game for added realism. This happens during certain story moments that occur in it. Lastly, Intihar also said that the game will have multiple difficulty settings in order to cater for gamers of all skill types. Spider-Man will be released exclusively for the PS4 and PS4 Pro on September 7th, 2018.
