The previous God of War games weren’t too long since they were mainly just linear hack and slash titles. Well the new PS4 God of War game is out later this month and it could be one of the longest games in the entire franchise. This is good news for gamers that love getting longevity for the titles that they buy each and every year.
God of War director, Cory Balrog was interviewed recently by Kinda Funny Games and Balrog gave us an estimated length to 100 percent the new game. Transcribed text has been given courtesy of ResetEra and you can read it down below.
Balrog said: “One of the systems designers just did his full playthrough to get 100 percent. So that’s literally doing every single thing in the entire game, and he played 43 hours. 43 hours and he knows what to do,” Barlog said. “He [worked on] a lot of the exploration content and the engagement outside of the core story. So he had not seen a lot of the core story stuff, that part was new to him, so that took a little bit. But everything else, that’s pretty impressive considering he knew what to do.”
Bear in mind, 43 hours is the length to 100 percent the game so the story mode might be shorter than that. It’s possible the main story could be similar to an Assassin’s Creed game lasting between 20 to 30 hours depending how skillful you are.
Anyway, God of War PS4 releases on April 20th, 2018 worldwide. The game is exclusive only for the PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles.
