Nintendo has now released a new system update for the Nintendo Switch console earlier today. It’s a small update so don’t expect to see anything huge from today’s system patch as it’s not anything too big or significant.
Nintendo Switch system update version 5.0.1 was released earlier today. The official Nintendo support website wrote the purpose of the update. It says: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience“.
As you can see, nothing really big is added but it’s mandatory to download these updates to make sure your console doesn’t break and all apps can run in efficient manner.
There’s still a lot of features that Switch owners want that have not been added yet. One big feature missing is a Virtual Console where you can download and play games from older Nintendo systems. Another most requested feature is a way to backup your save data.
Anyway, hopefully Nintendo is thinking about these features and more later this year. E3 2018 might be the best place to announce newer features that fans actually want from the Switch console.
