Heavy metal band Trivium is quite popular and fans will be happy to know that you can try and play some of their songs in the video game Rocksmith. Three new songs from the band will be made available for you to buy as additional DLC for the game.
The official Rocksmith Facebook page announced the following: “Learn to play 3 metal hits from Trivium! “In Waves,” “Built To Fall,” and “Strife” will be available today on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Steam. The songs may be posted later for players in territories served by the European PlayStation Store due to differences in publishing times. See the tunings and arrangements below.”
- “In Waves” – Eb Drop Db – Lead/Rhythm/Bass
- “Built To Fall” – Eb Drop Db – Lead/Alt Lead/Rhythm/Bass
- “Strife” – Eb Drop Db – Lead/Alt Lead/Rhythm/Bass
You can look at a trailer for the DLC in the Facebook video embedded below this article. Rocksmith was remastered for the PS4 and Xbox One back in 2014 and has continued to deliver lots of DLC over the years. The game is also available on the much older PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles too as well as a PC release.
If you are not a Heavy Metal fan, Ubisoft is still accepting requests for more songs to be added. You can see their message below. Bear in mind, not every song can be added due to licensing issues and cost. After all, adding licensed songs into a video game can be pretty expensive since the original artists usually receive royalties.
“Not your taste? No problem — we’re working on new DLC. Let us know which artists & songs you’d like to see by using the official request app: http://rocksmith.com/requests. Enter your requests there, and they will go straight to the music team.”
