You may have remembered last year that Capcom kind of falsely advertised that the collector’s edition of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite would come with some shiny Infinity Stone replicas. Well people that bought the $199 collector’s edition were in for a rude awakening because the stones looked like colorful Easter Eggs instead. Needless to say, gamers were annoyed.
You can look at the image provided by Rolling Stone above. Infinity Stones in the Avengers movies and comic books are supposed to be slightly transparent and shiny. The stones that gamers received last year looked like toy Easter Eggs you could buy from the $1 store instead. At least the statues that came with the collector’s edition were slightly better.
Well now with Avengers: Infinity War out later this year, toy manufacturer Hasbro is releasing its own Infinity Stone replicas. The stones will be inside the Infinity Gauntlet replica that will be usable for those that buy the glove when it’s out later this year.
These new images of Hasbro’s Infinity Gauntlet come from MarvelousNews.com and they are a big improvement over Capcom’s offering. Not only that, but they light up as well and they look more movie accurate. It’s rumored that this Infinity Gauntlet replica will set you back around $100.
You can look at Hasbro’s effort in the pictures posted down below. By clicking on the images, you can see how much of a big improvement the stones look. Nothing but bad news has come from Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite ever since it came out last year.
Not only was the game badly received, it was not even popular enough to get a spot at the EVO 2018 fighting game tournament. This is thanks to the game getting rushed and Marvel not including characters like the X-Men and Deadpool meaning the roster was lackluster.
