Rocket League is one of the most popular video games released in recent memory thanks to it essentially being a game about soccer, but you play as cars instead of humans using their legs and feet. The game has become so popular, it will now have its own toy set revealed by Hot Wheels.
On the official Rocket League website, it was announced that developer Psyonix has teamed up with Hot Wheels to bring fans an actual toy set that they can play with. It is being called the “Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set” and the cars are remote controlled too.
The car types included are ‘Octane’ and ‘Dominus’ plus you get a ball as well as the soccer field itself. You do not have to worry about batteries or a remote control, because both cars can be controlled using your smartphone or tablet device. It’s connected via Bluetooth similar to how you can control the BB-8 Sphero toy that came out a few years ago.
It won’t just come with the toys because there will be a code in every action playset that you can use to redeem in the actual game itself. What is included in the code will be announced at a later date.
The Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set is expected to be released during the Holiday season for an expected retail price of USD $179.99. To see more of this awesome toy set, Hot Wheels is revealing it at the New York Toy Fair event. That event happens on February 17th until February 20th. Are you excited to have a chance to play on this new toy set when it come out later this year?
