Big Ant Studios continues to improve AO Tennis after the game had a very rough launch in mid January for gamers in New Zealand and Australia. That said, future updates are making the game much better for its eventual worldwide release later this year.
The official AO Tennis Facebook page posted all of the relevant new details about the patch. It says: “A weekend update; we have another major patch live (Patch 1.10 on PS4/ Patch 6 on Xbox One). This patch adds a major new feature and further refinements to the game. Patch notes below! Enjoy, and have a great weekend. ”
- Implemented shareable custom Stadium Creator.
- Custom stadiums will be used in Career mode based on location.
- Improved Player Visuals.
- Added new London court.
- Corrected invalid double bounce detection on service.
- General stability improvements.
One of the criticisms the game got at launch were the mediocre graphics and lack of stadiums to play in. Thankfully, all of these updates are free so the game is much better now than it was on release date. The update patch is quite large as the update size is a hefty 7.187 GB on the PS4.
I have yet to fully install the update myself, but I will be sure to let you know what the changes are like very soon. Hopefully the updated visuals look great since I recently bought a new 4KTV along with a PS4 Pro. The original graphics of AO Tennis looked very last generation.
There’s still no release date for AO Tennis outside of the countries of Australia and New Zealand. It’s possible the game is getting delayed so people around the world receive the better updates that were not available at launch for gamers down under.
