The PS4 and Xbox One versions of Monster Hunter World are out very soon on January 26th, 2018, but you will have to wait longer for the PC version. It won’t be out until the latter end of 2018 which is bad news for those that don’t own the aforementioned consoles aside from a PC computer.
Capcom announced on YouTube that the PC version of Monster Hunter World will not be ready until Fall 2018. The reason for the big delay is because they are optimizing the PC version in order to get the best performance out of the game as possible.
Delays are never fun, but they are necessary for the long run. It’s better to release a game glitch free than being a broken mess at launch. Bad PC ports have happened in the past most famously with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.
In terms of recent bad ports, 2K Sports released WWE 2K18 on the Nintendo Switch as a laggy mess. What Capcom is doing is a good thing so fans shouldn’t have to worry too much.
If you are impatient, you can always buy the console versions first to get your Monster Hunter fix. The franchise is a hit and this new game is looking great too.
Expectations for it are very high as it’s expected to sell millions of copies worldwide. It could propel the PS4 console in Japan because Japanese people love the Monster Hunter franchise.
Sadly, no Switch version of Monster Hunter World has been announced yet. Anyway, you can watch Capcom’s announcement for the delay of the PC version down below. Are you sad that the game won’t be out until late 2018 for the PC?
