Ahead of the release of Dragon Ball FighterZ on January 26th 2018, Bandai Namco has released yet another new trailer for the game looking at one of the game’s most powerful villains. This time, we get to see the many abilities and skills of Goku Black.
Goku Black was of course one of the main villains in Dragon Ball Super. The character’s real identity was Zamasu who was a Supreme God from Universe 10. He stole Goku’s body and went back in time to lay waste to the Earth and most of its inhabitants.
One of his signature trademarks is the Super Saiyan Rose form which is only exclusive to him. This is essentially a tough Super Saiyan form that makes his hair turn bright pink. The form is somewhat on par with Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue form in regards to power levels.
Goku Black will also have an assist character aiding him in some attacks. Another version of Zamasu appears, although this is one that uses his own body instead. You need to have watched the full Future Trunks saga of Dragon Ball Super to understand the full story of these characters.
Speaking of Dragon Ball Super, Hit and Beerus are other new characters in the game. The roster is not as large as the Xenoverse series, although most of the main favorites are playable here.
Anyway, you can look at Goku Black’s new trailer down below. The game will be released in Europe and North America on January 26th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It is the first major fighting game out in 2018 coming out a few days before Square Enix releases its own tag-team brawler called Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on PS4.
