Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball FighterZ and Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World came out on the same day, although both launches have not been 100% smooth. This is because many users are experiencing issues logging in to the servers. I can confirm this because I own both games on Xbox One and PS4 respectively.
First of all, Bandai Namco had this to say about the current online issues Dragon Ball FighterZ is experiencing on Facebook: “We are aware of the issues with Ring Match in DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We’re working tirelessly to fix it, but it may take a while. Thank you as always for your patience. #DragonBallFighterZ”
On Capcom’s side, they announced the following on the official Monster Hunter Twitter page: “Hello Hunters, we’re aware of the Xbox matchmaking issues and dev team is actively investigating it, we’ll update you as soon as we can.”
Even though Capcom has announced Xbox One issues, I currently own the PS4 version of the game and have experienced some matchmaking issues myself. It’s not too bad, but sometimes when I log in it does not want to connect online so I have to join an offline lobby instead.
Both Monster Hunter: World and Dragon Ball FighterZ released on the same day on January 26th, 2018. It’s only been a few days so both Capcom and Bandai Namco are still working hard in order to make both games run smoothly. Both games are out now on PS4 and Xbox One. Dragon Ball FighterZ is also out now on PC, although the PC version o Monster Hunter: World will not be released until later this year instead.
