With the much awaited Xbox One X finally available worldwide, over 100 games have been enhanced for the platform to take advantage of its power to deliver the best visuals yet and far smoother gameplay than its competitor, the PS4 Pro.
From the many games that have been enhanced, we picked about five of them and touted them as the games that look phenomenal when played on Xbox One X:
1. Forza Motorsport 7
Downloading the almost 100GB worth of data on your Xbox One X, you will experience true native 4K gaming with 60 frames per second. The speed and the visual fidelity of Forza 7 is way over board and it could be one of the most best looking racing games this generation. Using the power of the Xbox One X, the game’s solid frame rate makes the experience even better. Even while playing the game on a 1080p set with Xbox One X, you will notice the differences right away. The visuals are an improvement no matter what TV you play on.
2. Gears of War 4
Another game that every Xbox One X owner should try out is Gears of War 4. With over 100GB of data, gamers will experience another native 4K title that runs with a much faster frame rate. The shooting and the movements of the characters are so smooth that it makes the experience unforgettable. Not to mention the attention to detail of the textures are superb. The details in the character models and draw distance is much better than playing on the Xbox One or Xbox One S.
3. Assassin’s Creed: Origins
While Assassin’s Creed Origins isn’t a true native 4K title, the game still looks phenomenal on the Xbox One X compared to the PS4 Pro. While the differences aren’t significant, there are notable improvements fans will notice over the Xbox One X version. One example are that shadows are much sharper and has more detail on the Xbox One X compared on the PS4 Pro. Also, the Xbox One X renders the high textures much better as the game has slightly more resolution than the PS4 Pro. Seriously, this game has one of the best looking palm trees you will ever see in the game. Not to mention the Egyptian setting makes this game look better than all of the other games in the series released to date.
4. Star Wars: Battlefront II
EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II is another game that gamers should definitely play on the Xbox One X due to its 4K resolution visuals and HDR. Between the PC version that runs at max 4K and the 4K of the Xbox One X, I say the visual quality is very close. In fact, it actually looks a lot more vivid on the Xbox One X due to its HDR support. The forest moon of Endor which is the home of the Ewoks is a highlight here. Theed Palace from Episode 1 is also the best interior design you will see in the game.
5. Rise of the Tomb Raider
Sure, the game may be a few years old but Square Enix updated the Rise of the Tomb Raider just for the Xbox One X. Playing in Native 4K, the improvement is apparent where many will conclude that the Xbox One X version looks far better than the PS4 Pro version. The level of detail on Xbox One X is breathtaking and the frame rate is smoother. If you bought the game two years ago, do yourself a favor and download the new patch. You will instantly see the awesome visual improvements right away.

November 13, 2017 at 4:38 AMSome titles, such as Tomb raider are specifically offering 60FPS.But other than that, the statement is misleading.

November 13, 2017 at 10:30 AMThis so called article features lots of misinformation. Quite a few enhanced games even perform better and more smooth on PS4PRO, according to Digital Foundry.
Also AC Origins doesn’t feature a texture upgrade on 1X, textures are the same on all platforms. PS4 Pro even features better shadows on ACO, again, according to Digital Foundry.
Guy…if you’re trying to be a journalist at least try to stick to the facts.

November 13, 2017 at 2:29 PMive seen every digital foundry video and from a few other youtubers doing comparisons and have yet to encounter any game running smoother or having a resolution close to xbox one x , the only game with a resolution issue was titanfall 2 which has been patched already.

November 13, 2017 at 10:43 PMlol Here you are again lying through your teeth again. Where are getting your warped reality from? I know you don’t have a 4K tv, because if you did you wouldn’t be posting nonsense about the Pro being on par with the X. I can assure you that it is not. The X has been out 6 days now, and below are a already large list of games that are significantly better on the X.
