It looks like Microsoft has given up on supporting the Xbox One Kinect device. Manufacturing for the device has ceased production according to a new report.
As reported by Co.Design, Microsoft has stopped production of the Xbox One Kinect according to “Alex Kipman, creator of the Kinect, and Matthew Lapsen, GM of Xbox Devices Marketing“.
The Kinect was pushed hard when the Xbox One first launched as every console had it bundled. After Microsoft stopped shipping it on every console, support started to drop.
Not to mention many motion-based video games started to die off. Many of the games were unresponsive and it was clear gamers were more interested in more traditional gaming experiences.
