Yuji Horii, series creator of Dragon Quest, revealed today at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference that Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is developed using Unreal Engine 4.
If the game is indeed using Unreal Engine 4, it means that the Switch port comes from the PS4 version, instead of the 3DS version. It’s really a great news for those who are excited for the Switch version to experience a PS4-quality visuals.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age was released for PS4 and 3DS in Japan on July 29. The game is expected to be released in the West sometime in 2018, but platforms has yet to be announced.
