The first Destiny beta was a huge success, but the number of players that participated in the Destiny 2 beta was even bigger. This is a sign the game could sell lots of copies this September.
Activision just announced that the Destiny 2 beta was bigger in terms of player count, but no specific numbers were revealed. The first game had 4.6 million players, so the sequel would have been bigger than that.
The company also announced that pre-orders for the sequel are higher than the first game too. This could be because more people own a PS4 and Xbox One console compared to 2014. Not to mention the sequel is also going to be available on PC.
The game will be released on September 6th, 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One. The PC release date for the game is on October 24th, 2017.
