The ESRB has now rated Destiny 2 giving us a description on some of the content you can expect to see in the full game which is out later this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The game has been rated T for Teen and the content descriptors are: “Blood, Language, Violence“. Destiny 2 was looked at on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
The rating summary says: “This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a group (Guardians) defending humanity against an alien force. Players travel across futuristic landscapes and planets to battle a horde of alien creatures. Players use pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, and various elemental weapons (e.g., flame sword, lightning staff) to kill enemies. Battles are frenetic and are accompanied by realistic gunfire and large explosions.
Cutscenes sometimes depict dramatic spaceship battles and characters getting shot, electrocuted, and strangled. Splashes of red blood occasionally appear on the screen when players are injured, and some creatures emit splashes of black liquid when killed. The word “a*shole” is heard in the dialogue.”
It sounds like the sequel will be similar to the first game in terms of content and style. If you have played the open beta, you’ll know what to expect. However, the sequel is said to have a better story and more cutscenes compared to the first game. Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for PS4 and Xbox One and is out on October 24th for PC.
