Tekken 7 just came out and it’s a big win for Bandai Namco. The game is the best selling title over in the UK and could be one of the most successful entries in the franchise.
As reported by MCV UK, Tekken 7 is the first Tekken game since Tekken 3 in 1998 to reach the top of the UK charts. Tekken Tag Tournament only managed to debut at number 2 in 2012 while Tekken 6 settled for 6th place in 2009.
Ovewatch was in second place for the week thanks to price promotions and the ongoing events to celebrate the game’s first anniversary.
Injustice 2 had to fall to third place for the week. It’s quite weird that two fighting games have been released around the same time. The only other notable new releases included Star Trek: Bridge Crew at number 16 and MXGP 3 at number 22.
