When Microsoft announced the Xbox One X for a price of $499, many people expected Sony to drop the price of the PS4 Pro. Well it sounds like Sony isn’t planning on doing that just yet.
Sony Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida admitted during an interview with Jagat Review (via PushSquare) that they have no plans for a price drop right now.
He said: “We are very happy with the quality of the games that are playable on the PS4 Pro, and the feedback that we get back from consumers is also really positive. So, we don’t have any plans to change“.
Sony doesn’t need to drop the price yet since the Xbox One X is still $100 more expensive. The Pro is $399 and is still selling well alongside the PS4 Slim. Sony might decide to drop the price if the Xbox One X drops down to $399 too.
