Square Enix is now taking full reigns over the development of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Beforehand, they were outsourcing development to Cyberconnect 2.
This new revelation was revealed during a special broadcast (via Novacrystallis) that Naoki Hamaguchi will now be taking over a top role to make Final Fantasy 7 Remake. He was previously working on Mobius Final Fantasy.
This means development for the game is fully in Square Enix’s hands. This falls in line with the recent job vacancies that Square Enix listed with multiple positions still needing to be fulfilled.
Even though this is good news that development is in full production, it’s sad to note that we have to wait longer for it to come out. Remember, the game is being released in multiple parts so it’s going to be a long wait for everything to come out.
