Nier: Automata came out back in March and the game has been a big success for Square Enix. The PC and PS4 game has managed to attract many fans worldwide.
Square Enix announced via Twitter that Nier: Automata has shipped over 1.5 million copies worldwide on both the PC and PS4 platforms. This includes both physical shipments as well as digital sales.
The game is critically acclaimed and word of mouth has made the game popular. This is quite impressive since the game came out around the same time as both Horizon: Zero Dawn and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The success of Automata means that Square Enix might be thinking of releasing a sequel. It deserves a follow-up as it is a fun action video game.
