Atlus has announced that worldwide shipments for Persona 5 have reached 1.5 million copies already. This includes the Japanese release which came out last year.
Gematsu notes that shipments in Japan for Persona 5 reached 550,000 units last October. The release of the game in Europe and North America this April pushed that number to now 1.5 million units.
The Persona series has always been popular around the world and the fifth game has been receiving critical praise both in Japan and in Western countries.
