Ever since Impact Wrestling started to lose most of its biggest stars, the WWE has snapped them all up. With that being said, WWE 2K18 could be insane if it includes most of the current roster.
Excitement for WWE 2K18 grew earlier this year once it was announced that Kurt Angle would be in the Hall of Fame. Kurt Angle was a part of Impact Wrestling for many years so he wasn’t allowed to appear in the WWE video games for a long time.
Now the WWE has re-signed him and he’s the Raw General Manager. It was rumored that Angle would be this year’s pre-order bonus so it will be cool to add him into this year’s game.
Angle is not the only big star to return to the WWE. At WrestleMania 33, we saw the returns of both Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. Their returns were the most popular video that WWE posted on YouTube during WrestleMania 33 week.
The Hardy Boyz were one of the most popular tag-teams of the Attitude Era and many fans are going to watch WWE again due to them coming back. Much like Angle, both Matt and Jeff were unable to appear in previous WWE video games due to them working for Impact Wrestling.
The roster for WWE 2K18 could also include many of the new stars of WWE. The Cruiserweights stars have also been pretty impressive. Names such as TJ Perkins, Brian Kendrick, Rich Swann and more could also be included in this year’s game.
NXT is also a breeding ground for impressive talent. We could see people such as Ember Moon, The Authors of Pain, DIY, Bobby Roode, Kassius Ohno and more. Even Drew McIntyre is back in the company after leaving Impact Wrestling a few weeks ago too!
Bear in mind, 2K might feature some of these stars as paid DLC. Still, the WWE roster is so huge and impressive now. It will be interesting to see if 2K will be able to fit everyone into the game.
Even the current main roster is stacked. We now have Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and even Brock Lesnar. The game is also going to have legends too on top of that. Who do you want to see most in WWE 2K18?
