When Spider-Man PS4 was first announced, nobody knew the release year for it. Now there is more solid evidence that it could be out later this year. This isn’t a full confirmation, but at least it’s a target.
The comments about Spider-Man PS4 releasing in 2017 were made by Ryan Penagos who is the current Vice President & Executive Editor of Marvel Digital Media. A Reddit user posted his comments in a recent stream.
He said: “There’s even more on the horizon for 2017, like Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite coming to Xbox One, PS4, Windows, PC”.
It sounds like both Spider-Man and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite are due out later this year. Obviously Spider-Man’s release date is still not 100% confirmed. Since it’s an open world video game, don’t be surprised that it could see a delay into early 2018.
Update: Insomniac Games said on Twitter: “No release timeframe has been announced“
