Most people expect the Xbox Scorpio console to be revealed at this year’s E3 event. Microsoft has now teased that we may see the console sooner rather than later.
During IGN’s Unlocked show, Xbox boss Phil Spencer teased that the Xbox Scorpio may be revealed at an event before E3 2017. He wants to keep E3 all about video games.
Spencer said E3 plans are not set in stone yet, but revealing everything at E3 is difficult right now he claims. He also said that he doesn’t want their whole presentation to be all about hardware as many games are to be revealed.
It’s possible the Xbox Scorpio would be revealed before E3. Both Microsoft and Sony had separate events in 2013 to announce the Xbox One and PS4 respectively. Their E3 2013 events were instead left for video games only.
