Australia is one of the most strictest countries when it comes to video games. The country has banned a lot of games and Outlast 2 is the latest one on the list.
As reported by Press Start Australia, Outlast 2 has been refused classification over in Australia. This basically means that the game contains material that is unfit to be released in the country even with an R18 rating.
Kotaku Australia did a little digging and revealed the reason why the game is not being released in Australia. We’re not going to post details of it here, but it has to do with a rape scene. Sexual violence is a big no-no over in Australia.
The game will be released in other countries on April 25th, 2017 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. At this stage, the game is still coming out in New Zealand.
