A few weeks ago, the Australian Classification Board refused to rate Outlast 2 banning the game for sale in Australia. Well it looks like a review went underway and the game will be released in the country after all.
As reported by Press Start Australia, the Australian Classification Board reversed its decision and the game will be released on April 26th in Australia with an R18 rating.
They left the following statement: “Outlast 2 has been rated R18+ by the Classification Branch in Australia and will be released 26th April 2017″. (Australian release date).
The game was initially banned due to a scene containing sexual violence. Kotaku Australia says the game has been modified. It’s possible the scene might not appear in Australian copies, although there have been conflicting reports on it. We’ll know for sure when the game is out very soon.
