Nintendo has released a new update today for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The patch is version number 1.1.1 and both Wii U and Switch owners have seen it.
The size of the patch is 167MB. Nintendo posted on the official website: “On March 31, 2017, a new software update for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild became available for download. Please take a moment to download and install this update while your Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet.”
The only patch notes provided are: “Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.” People on NeoGAF report that they notice improvements to the frame rate in certain locations in the game. In some locations the game slowed down for some reason, but now this has been fixed.
It will be interesting to see if other changes are made in the future including the frequency of the Blood Moon appearing and making weapons not break so easily.
