Star Wars Battlefront 2 (or whatever it will be called) will be out later this year and EA has talked a little bit about what we can expect from it plus future Star Wars video games.
DualShockers reported that EA’s Blake Jorgensen talked briefly about Star Wars Battlefront 2 and other future Star Wars video games at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference. Fans will be happy that the Battlefront sequel will be better.
Jorgensen said that the sequel to Battlefront will be “dramatically larger” compared to the first game and that it will feature a lot of new characters from the franchise. One of the criticisms of the first game was that it lacked content and only featured characters from the original trilogy and Rogue One.
He also mentioned that Jade Raymond’s studio is working on the single player campaign for the Star Wars Battlefront sequel. The studio’s own Star Wars video game is still early in development so new big news on that front.
Finally, BioWare is also working on a new Star Wars video game that will be sci-fi related and is going to explore the wider Star Wars universe. This likely means it will feature characters and places we have yet seen in the movies or other media.
