At long last, the much awaited Nintendo Switch is finally here. While the launch games seems rather weak compared to other console launches from Nintendo, there are at least a few games worth mentioning that you might want to check out. Sure, it’s not all AAA titles but they are at least there to keep everyone busy until the next big game of Nintendo releases for the system, which is Mario Kart 8 next month.
Here are the 5 Games to consider for the Nintendo Switch:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
If you are picking up the Nintendo Switch, it’s most probably because of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In fact, Breath of the Wild is the must have game for you to get if you’re picking up a Nintendo Switch. Not only does it showcase what the hybrid console can do in terms of raw power, it also is one of the best Zelda games to date (review soon). Moving into an open-world adventure, there’s just a lot of things to look forward to in Breath of the Wild and it’s guaranteed that it could take you around 50 hours to beat the game – that’s not even doing 100% of it!
I Am Setsuna
For fans of the the JRPG genre, I Am Setsuna is one of those games that will give fond memories of games like Chrono Trigger. Released on the PS4 and Xbox One several months ago, the Switch version is the same exact version that many have already played. Though if you missed playing it when it was released, now is the time to get it. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the game, especially if you are a hardcore JRPG fan who loves the classic Chrono Trigger.
Just Dance 2017
For those who love going to parties with friends, picking up Just Dance 2017 for the Nintendo Switch is a way to go. Wherever you go, you can start dancing with friends and have fun. Fortunately, the Switch version is the same exact version that was released on the PS4 and Xbox One. Expect a lot of songs to dance with, especially popular ones like Sorry from Justin Bieber and more.
Super Bomberman R
It’s been about a decade since the last time we saw a Bomberman game. Yes, we miss Bomberman and with his latest outing for the Nintendo Switch, it’s nice to see our cute little bomber buddy again. Comprising of 50 stages, those who love the classic Bomberman games can feel the nostalgia once again with Super Bomberman R. Did I mention you can play co-op with friends both locally and online?
1-2-Switch
The Joycon Controllers is one of the most innovative controllers that I’ve used in the past decade. To test drive what the Joycon controllers can do, there’s this game called 1-2-Switch that can show you just how precise the motion controls and HD rumble features are like. Think of it as a tech demo for the technology but it’s a lot of fun to play with, especially with friends.
