MLB The Show 17 is out later this year and there are many gameplay improvements that have been added to it. A new video highlights some of what has been added.
One of the first improvements seen in MLB The Show 17 is that the physics are more realistic. The ball is handled in a more life-like manner meaning this can result in more unpredictable results. They claim there are more hit varieties than ever before now.
Aside from ball physics, the A.I. is smarter this time around. This means people running on the field act more like humans do and just aren’t programmed to do the same thing all of the time.
The game also adds “Cat and Mouse” gameplay with the addition of a new “catcher throwing meter”. This is helpful if the opposing team wants to steal a base. More can be seen in the video below.
MLB The Show 17 will be out on March 28th, 2017 exclusively for the PS4 console. Sorry non-PS4 owners, this franchise is published/developed by Sony so will stay exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
