Microsoft announced its Xbox Scorpio video game last year, although we didn’t know which titles would support it. Now we have confirmation that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will take advantage of the new console.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War has now been officially announced by Warner Bros. and the press release said the game will be out for PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and also the Xbox Project Scorpio.
It was also announced that the game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This means you can play the game on both Xbox One and Windows 10 and switch between the two using the same game save.
In terms of a release date, the game is out in North America on August 22nd. It will then be released in Australia and Europe on August 23rd and August 25th respectively. The Xbox Scorpio isn’t out until Holiday 2017 though so you may have to wait to see the benefits.
You can also check out the first trailer for the game below. You will still be in Middle-earth although there will be a new story for you to experience and lots of orcs for you kill.
