Microsoft has revealed its own EA Access style subscription model called “Xbox Game Pass”. You can play lots of games for an unlimited time as long as you are still an active member.
Microsoft announced via a press release that the service will only cost you $9.99 per month and you will get access to over 100 games when it’s out in late Spring 2017.
The service includes a healthy mix of Xbox One games plus Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles. As you can see on the image above, titles include the likes of Halo 5: Guardians, NBA 2K16, Lego Batman and loads more.
There is no limit to the amount of games you want to download and play which is cool. Games will be downloaded and not streamed as Microsoft said fan feedback had a negative reaction to streaming.
If you love a game so much, you can choose to buy it for a discount if you choose to own it permanently. Xbox Game Pass will be out later this year in 27 markets first. Microsoft promises the service will offer a diverse mix of games. The service is only available for Xbox One console owners though. You won’t be having this cool service if you only have an Xbox 360.
