Dark Horse Comics is set to release a mini comic book series based on the Mass Effect Andromeda universe later this year called Mass Effect: Discovery.
As reported by Polygon, Mass Effect: Discovery will be a series of four comic books set in the Mass Effect Andromeda universe. The first issue will be out on May 24, 2017.
The comic series is written by Jeremy Barlow with incredible artwork being penciled in by Fabriel Guzman and Michael Atiyeh. The cover of the comic stars Lieutanant Tiran Kandros.
A synopsis of the story says: “A young Turian military recruit goes undercover in order to infiltrate the mysterious Andromeda Initiative—and ultimately retrieve a scientist who’s made a potentially devastating discovery. Tying in to the highly anticipated release of Mass Effect: Andromeda, writer Jeremy Barlow and artist Gabriel Guzman team up to create the next exciting chapter of the Mass Effect comics series!”
Mass Effect Andromeda the game itself will be out worldwide on March 21st, 2017 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. If you are an EA Access subscriber, you can play a 10 hour trial a few days before release date. There are no plans to currently port the game over to the Nintendo Switch.
