The release date for Tekken 7 will finally be announced next week. It will be interesting to see if the game retains its “early 2017” release window.
Bandai Namco announced on Facebook: “To all #Tekken fans and beyond: look forward to the release date announcement of Tekken 7 next week. Stay tuned!”
Q1 2017 has been the most crowded periods for gaming in recent memory. In January there is Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 0, Resident Evil 7 and more.
February sees the release of Nioh and Horizon Zero Dawn while in March there’s Zelda on Switch/Wii U, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Mass Effect Andromeda just to name a few.
Possibly the best month that Tekken 7 should be released is sometime in April. It avoids the releases of the aforementioned video games and is out just before Injustice 2 lands in May. Injustice 2 is probably the game’s biggest competition since they are both fighting video games.
