Bandai Namco has announced a unique partnership today as New Japan Pro Wrestling attire will be available to wear in Tekken 7.
The NJPW attire in Tekken 7 are from popular stables such as The Bullet Club and Chaos. Since you can customize the clothes for each character, you can choose to make them wear the shirts and other attire from NJPW.
That was not the only thing announced from this unique partnership. King will also have a cool move called the “Rainmaker”. The Rainmaker is the finishing move of Kazuchika Okada who is the current NJPW champion.
This is great news for both fans of the Tekken franchise and professional wrestling. Hopefully Bandai Namco is also able to throw in some other easter eggs for wrestling fans such as using moves seen from the WWE, TNA and more.
There is still no release date for Tekken 7, but it will be out in early 2017. The game is currently scheduled to be out for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. You can check out the full announcement below. It’s in Japanese, but you can see the type of things you will be receiving.
