When Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay was shown last year, it was confirmed the game will have PS4 Pro enhancements. Now BioWare has commented about the possibility of enhancing the game on Xbox Scorpio too.
During an interview with Official Xbox Magazine (via Xbox Tavern), BioWare’s Mac Walters said: “Given our Spring release date, I’m not sure exactly what we’re going to be able to support at that time, but we have a strong service plan for ME that will continue past our release date. If we do a Game of the Year edition, or a future edition or something like that, that’s something we’d definitely consider looking at, for sure.”
Mass Effect Andromeda will be released on March 21st, 2017 in North America and March 23rd, 2017 in Europe. The Xbox Scorpio is not out until Fall 2017.
The timing differences between release dates is the main reason why BioWare is still unsure if it can/will make enhancements to the game for future Xbox Scorpio users. PS4 Pro owners don’t have to worry as their console is out now and they will see all of the improvements on launch day.
