Even though a lot of planets are available to explore in Mass Effect Andromeda, the entire galaxy won’t be accessible.
A fan asked Mass Effect Andromeda’s Creative Director, Mac Walters, via Twitter, if the entire Andromeda galaxy is accessible to players. The fan assumed that only a few clusters are available.
Walters confirmed this by saying: “That’s a very wise assumption. Yes.”
This is obvious if you know astronomy. Unlike No Man’s Sky with its procedural generation model, Mass Effect Andromeda won’t have billions of planets for you to explore.
Each galaxy has billions of planets so obviously this won’t be available for players to explore in the new Mass Effect video game.
Not to mention the Andromeda galaxy in real life is so far away. It’s 2.5 million light years away from Earth, so little is known about the actual planets that exist there. BioWare just created the galaxy based on their own designs of course.
