Nintendo has finally announced when Super Mario Run will be out. Fans will be happy to know that it’s free to play, although benefits come your way if you pay for it.
As announced via a press release, Super Mario Run will be out for iOS devices on December 15th. You need iOS 8 or higher to play on it and it will be available in over 151 countries at launch. The languages supported are: English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese language options.
“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”
Even though the three modes in the game are free to play, you can choose to spend $9.99 (USA Price) in order to get unlimited and uninterrupted access. Basically you are paying to get rid of all the ads and you can play as much as you want. It will be interesting to see if this can rival Pokemon Go in popularity.
