PlayStation VR users have found out that you can use the device’s Cinematic mode on other devices such as a PC, Xbox One or Wii U.
All you need to do is plug into the HDMI socket of those consoles and you should see it work. Cinematic mode is just a function on PlayStation VR that makes the screen look bigger. It looks like you are inside of a cinema hence the name.
It cannot detect head tracking on those other devices and obviously VR games on PC won’t work on PlayStation VR either. Still, it’s a cool function to have if you want to play games while seeing a huge screen. The only thing you have to be wary of is that the picture quality isn’t as good using Cinematic mode.
