With Patch 3.2 releasing next month for Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix wanted to remind that those who play the game on the PS4, make sure that you have enough space available as gamers can expect to download a substanial amount of data once again.
Currently at patch 3.1, Final Fantasy XIV is now at 40GB for the PS4. When the latest patch, 3.2, gets released sometime next month, an additional 10GB will be added, making the total disk space that your PS4 can use a hard drive is 50GB.
Unfortunately, other platforms are affected too and now has a disk space requirement:
The new disk space requirement will differ on each platform. Please check the updated disk space requirements outlined below and ensure your console or computer has adequate storage space. If your console or computer does not have enough storage space available, you will be unable to launch FINAL FANTASY XIV, so please ensure your console or computer has adequate storage space before the release of Patch 3.2 currently scheduled for release in February 2016.
