Frontier Developments has today launched the Elite Dangerous: Horizons beta test for PC.
Elite Dangerous: Horizons is described by Frontier as a series of “major gameplay expansions for the award-winning space epic Elite Dangerous”. This first expansion adds in a much requested feature planetary landings! This will see player able to explore “accurately simulated planets and moons throughout Elite Dangerous’ full scale re-creation of our Milky Way” on 1:1 scale worlds.
With plenty of combat encounters to experience including bases to raid and scout crash sites to locate Horizons aims to add a huge new wave on content to the title. Frontier Developments CEO David Braben had this to say about the announcement:
