More focus on Hololens
Microsoft unveiled their own take on the VR headset with Microsoft Hololens earlier this year. While a small sizzle reel showed off the potential and a live demonstration showed the tools that could develop a gyrocopter model in realtime, Microsoft hasn’t showcased enough on the gaming side of the product. Microsoft previous held patents (Microsoft IllumiRoom) allowing the Kinect to capture a room’s layout and project visuals based on the game but seems to have shelved the concept in favor of Hololens. Both the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Project Morpheus are slated to be on demonstration at E3 2015 and it would be wise for Microsoft to strike while the iron’s still hot and prove to consumers and gamers alike why Hololens is necessary for gaming in the future.
